So today’s challenge was to swap phone/TV for family time. I’m not going to lie to you, I have been home by myself until about an hour ago… but I did swap my phone for some homework! I’m also not going to lie to you, this has been a hard one for me lately. I just really enjoy talking to people, and checking instagram, and snapchat, etc. you know the drill. I do know, however, that when I am home and able to spend time with my family, I never regret putting my phone down for hours at a time. It is a really good thing to do. Last year, I downloaded and app called “moment,” and it tracks how much time you spend on your phone each day. This was a huge reality check for me. It really helped me to pay attention to my screen time, and I got to the point where I was spending an hour or less each day. I have definitely fallen off of that wagon, but I still highly recommend that app for anyone who struggles with this! (I’m re-downloading it as I type). I know it is something that I need to work on. Living in the moment is important people! Put your phone down for a little bit, spend your time elsewhere, and see what you can accomplish.
